Full-Time Guest Services Representative - Residence Inn

About the role

As a Guest Services Representative for High Hotels LTD., you are required to positively represent the hotel to the guest by responding courteously and efficiently to guest needs, acting as a source of information about the hotel and local area, and assisting guests during arrivals and departure. You will also be responsible for operating the switchboard and handling departmental accounting and financial transactions as they relate to this position.

Responsibilities

• Responding to guest requests and inquiries.
• Taking, modifying, and canceling guest reservations.
• Communicating hotel facilities and services to all guests.
• Providing information on the local area and points of interest.
• Aiding guests with arrivals and departures.
• Answering front desk phone.
• Cash handling.
• Will cross-train in Bistro to provide coverage in that department as well.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) preferred.
• The ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong math, reading, and communication skills.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Full-time role consisting of five shifts per week.
• Flexible scheduling, including 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shifts on varying days, including weekends and holidays.
• Weekend shifts include a $1/hour shift premium.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with hotel reservation systems.
