Aspire Allergy & Sinus is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering exceptional care for patients with allergy, asthma, and sinus conditions. This role involves both clinical and front-office duties across multiple Orlando-area clinics.
About the role
As an essential member of our clinical staff, you will administer allergy tests and injections, assist with in-office procedures, and provide front-office support to ensure an extraordinary patient experience. Must be willing to travel to any of the following clinics:
- Sanford: 1821 WP Ball Blvd, Sanford, FL 32771
- Winter Park: 631 S Orlando Ave, Suite 100, Winter Park, FL 32789
- Winter Garden: 1335 Winter Garden Vineland Rd #110, Winter Garden, FL 34787
- Orlando: 7601 Della Dr, Suite 13, Orlando, FL 32819
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms; obtain vitals, past/present medical history, and current medication list
- Effectively communicate allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients
- Administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections
- Conduct thorough and accurate spirometry testing to assess and evaluate lung function
- Perform all testing and treatment in accordance with Aspire Allergy’s protocols and safety measures
- Navigate EHR system to record accurate patient health information
- Greet, welcome, and direct patients and visitors
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide accurate information
- Track clinical inventory and resupply as needed
- Ensure all end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete
- Adhere to HIPAA rules, OSHA requirements, and universal precautions
- Cross-train in front office responsibilities, including:
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Collecting patient payments
- Supporting treatment coordination and patient enrollment
- Obtaining CT authorizations
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections
- Ability to manually take patient vital signs
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 lbs
- Manual dexterity to operate computers, telephones, and office equipment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between clinics
Qualifications
- Completed Medical Assistant Program or Degree (preferred)
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
- 1+ years of Medical Receptionist experience (preferred)
- Medical Assistant Certificate, vocational nurse license, or related experience
- Current CPR Certification
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM–5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM–12:00 PM
