Full-Time Dish Room Lead - Student Dining

About the role

Full-time Dish Room Lead must direct staff as well as work alongside employees in the dish room. Operate equipment responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishware, pots and pans. Adhere to policies and procedures, monitoring safety guidelines. Must be able to work with a diverse staff and communicate the needs for the day. Sanitation is a high priority. Must stay till the end of shift to complete clean up.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff and work alongside employees in the dish room
• Operate equipment for cleaning and sanitizing dishware, pots, and pans
• Monitor and adhere to safety guidelines and sanitation policies
• Communicate daily needs to a diverse staff
• Complete end-of-shift clean-up
• Inventory management of china and flatware to ensure ample inventory
• Deep clean glassware, china, plate and bowl carts during shutdown

Requirements

• Reliable and able to work with little or no supervision
• Effective communication with staff and management
• Currently authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods
• Tolerance to extreme heat and humidity in a kitchen environment
