About the Role
We are looking for a Full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the South Hills, with a set schedule from Monday to Friday. The DSP is responsible for the safety, well-being, and care of our adult individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role includes providing transportation to appointments and community activities, fostering independence, supporting work habits, promoting communication, and encouraging personal growth and exploration.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
- Assist in optimizing individual independence and supporting work habits.
- Promote communication and foster growth in areas of individual interest.
- Provide support to reduce challenging behaviors and optimize safe community integration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, reliable car, and current registration.
- Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
