Full-Time Direct Support Professional and Job Coach

About the role

The role involves providing direct support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support plans based on client needs
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management
• Facilitate social interactions and recreational activities
• Document progress and communicate with families and other professionals involved in the client’s care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and empathy towards clients
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Pay

Salary range: $X-$Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
