Full Time Direct Care Supervisor

The Home for Little Wanderers is an established child welfare agency with a mission to provide stable lives and hopeful futures for vulnerable children and their families. With over 200 years of experience, the organization serves thousands of at-risk youths through various community-based and residential programs.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate direct care staff.
- Mediate staff issues and employee conflicts.
- Host team meetings for staff and provide training and weekly supervision.
- Organize and structure milieu shifts.
- Maintain safety of clients in a residence; work closely with the Milieu Director to support program goals.
- Provide milieu therapy, instruct youth on daily living skills, and serve as a youth advocate.
Qualifications
- Equivalent to two years of college and/or two years child care experience in a residential setting with a similar population of children.
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience and prior experience with emotionally, behaviorally challenged children, preferably in a residential treatment program, desired.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with milieu therapy and daily living skills instruction.
- Knowledge of child development and behavioral challenges.

Pay
