Full-Time Dialysis Technician, CCHT

About the role

Rendevor Dialysis is a family-owned and operated company founded over 30 years ago by a Dialysis RN. Our mission is to bring thriving onsite dialysis partnerships to any under-serviced healthcare institution in need.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical and critical thinking skills daily
  • Perform and monitor dialysis treatment under supervision of Registered Nurse
  • Coordinate care with healthcare team and clients (site Managed Healthcare, DOC/BOP, etc.)
  • Understand and perform hemodialysis procedure according to Rendevor Dialysis policies and procedures
  • Complete safety checks before initiating dialysis
  • Monitor and record dialysis treatment parameters and communicate information to licensed personnel
  • Ensure sterile technique and follow infection control policies
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide education on disease and treatment
  • Obtain and culture specimens as ordered and perform routine tests
  • Administer oxygen as necessary and participate in CPR
  • Wash machines, station area, and chairs after each patient treatment
  • Prepare daily logs and set-up for each shift of patients
  • Record and file laboratory reports and stock necessary supplies
  • Report errors and near misses to prevent recurrence
  • Participate in performance improvement projects and annual QAPI training
  • Maintain a safe, smooth, and efficient unit operation
  • Communicate significant information to appropriate team members and document accurately
  • Work flexible schedules ranging from 5 to 15 hours per day based on unit requirements

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Nationally recognized CCHT certification or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification
  • One year of clinical dialysis experience required

Qualifications

  • Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of renal function and treatment modalities for ESRD patients
  • Understanding of sterile technique and infection control policies
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
