Full-Time Dialysis Technician, CCHT

Responsibilities
- Utilize technical and critical thinking skills daily during dialysis treatments.
- Perform and monitor dialysis treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Coordinate care with the healthcare team and maintain relationships with clients.
- Participate in CPR as needed.
- Wash machines, station areas, and chairs after each patient treatment.
- Prepare daily logs and set up for each shift of patients.
- Record and file laboratory reports as directed.
- Stock and order necessary supplies as directed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Participate in IDT and QAPI committees and meetings.
- Report concerns, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Nationally recognized Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician certification (CCHT) or equivalent
- CPR certification
- One year of clinical dialysis experience
Qualifications
- Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.
- Basic knowledge of renal function and treatment modalities for ESRD patients.
- Understanding and adherence to Rendevor Dialysis policies and procedures for infection control.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of treatment modalities for ESRD patients.
- Understanding and performing the hemodialysis procedure according to Rendevor Dialysis policies and procedures.
- Completion of safety checks before initiating dialysis.
- Recording and communicating dialysis treatment parameters.
- Understanding and following sterile technique.
- Understanding and following Rendevor Dialysis policies and procedures for infection control.
- Understanding and performing thorough patient assessments.
- Administering oxygen as necessary.
- Preparing and recording laboratory reports.
- Stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
- Communicating significant information to appropriate team members.
- Reporting errors and near misses.
- Participating in performance improvement projects.
- Participating in annual QAPI training and other continuing education.
- Contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture.

Pay
$24.00 - $27.00/Per Hour (Based on Documented Experience, Qualifications and Market Data)
Schedule
This Dialysis Unit operates Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
Supervision
This position will report to the Unit Leader.
Background Check
The Department of Corrections and all applicable law require a comprehensive background check for all employees working in this position. This background check will be conducted after an offer, if any, is made.
Work Environment
This role exists in a hospital or in the medical unit of a post-acute or correctional facility. This role may include exposure to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens. This role routinely involves the use of both medical and standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
