Full-Time Controller

About the role

The Controller oversees financial operations for a custom millwork shop, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient management of accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements; explain performance variances to management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, oversee billing, collections, and vendor payments.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Office to maintain financial data, develop internal controls, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, labor laws, and support audit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in manufacturing or millwork.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
