Controller - Full-Time

Overview This role is a hands-on Controller responsible for building and scaling the company's accounting function. Key Responsibilities Oversee monthly close processes, aiming for a 5–7 day close as systems mature.Manage reconciliations, technical accounting, and serve as the primary contact for external audits.Design and implement controls suitable for a growing company.Partner with FP&A to support forecasting and financial planning.Oversee accounts receivable and collections, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth.Manage relationships with tax and audit service providers and support lender reporting and covenant compliance.Build processes from scratch, contributing to the company's scaling efforts and international expansion. Qualifications & Skills: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles like Controller or Assistant Controller.Experience in hardware, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses.Proven ability to develop accounting systems, controls, and processes at scale.Audit experience, including at high-growth or early-stage companies.Systems fluency with tools like QuickBooks Online, FP&A platforms, Bill.com, Avalara, and payroll systems.Hands-on experience with AI tools in accounting workflows.Strong communication skills, capable of presenting to leadership and boards.Venture-backed or high-growth company experience and exposure to multi-entity or international accounting are preferred.
