Full-Time Clinical Faculty - (BSN Required)
About the role
Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a BSN-prepared Nurse for a full-time Clinical Faculty position at our Independence Campus.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students off campus at our clinical sites and/or in a lab setting.
- Promote a positive learning environment and work collaboratively to assure full instruction of the clinical component of the curriculum.
- Create a high level of student engagement by planning the student clinical experience.
- Supervise and orient students to the clinical site as well as to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Evaluate each student’s achievement and progress, providing valuable feedback.
- Participate as a member of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Two or more years full-time work experience as a RN (or part-time equivalent).
- Active OH RN license that has never been encumbered.
- Current (or ability to obtain) American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
General Credentialing Requirements
- Provide copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned.
- Provide a copy of current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card.
- Complete a physical form (from within the last 12 months).
- Immunization documentation for:
- Hepatitis B
- Meningococcal Meningitis
- Rabies Vaccine
- Tetanus
- Tuberculosis (2-step)
- Varicella
- Flu (October 1 - April 1 hires)
