About the role
A baker responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods following standardized recipes and production guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Bakes and prepares food items, sets up workstation, and operates kitchen equipment such as ovens and mixers.
- Measures, weighs, mixes, and chops ingredients, ensuring proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Stores food properly, cleans work areas, and maintains equipment and utensils.
- Provides excellent customer service and maintains a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
- Adheres to safety policies, including proper food handling and security of assets.
- Roles may vary based on location and business needs.
Requirements
- Preferred prior experience in baking or related roles.
- Knowledge of baking methods, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to demonstrate basic math, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must obtain food safety certification(s).
- Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
