Full-Time Auxiliary Teacher (Building Substitute)

About the role

St. Rose of Lima, an Independence Mission School, is seeking full-time Auxiliary Teacher candidates to support staff absences and provide additional instructional or classroom assistance on a daily basis. This role will exclusively support this school.

Responsibilities

• Model outstanding character traits aligned with Catholic teachings, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and apply new learning enthusiastically
• Maintain high accountability for work and ambitious goals
• Set high behavioral and academic expectations for all students (PK-8)
• Communicate effectively with families, peers, and leadership to build community
• Plan meticulously and stay highly organized to ensure excellent learning experiences
• Support instruction across all content areas, including core academics (reading, math) and specials (music, art, PE)
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned with flexibility

Requirements

• High School degree (required)
• Clearance on all required background checks (required)
• Completion of all onboarding documentation and training (required)

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to accommodate a range of learning needs and differentiate instruction
• Track record of holding students to high expectations and leading them to success
