Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes with little to no planning responsibility.
  • Maintain a well-managed classroom where 100% of students are engaged, challenged, and supported.
  • Integrate technology into daily classroom teaching and student learning.
  • Use prescribed instructional methodologies, including Individualized Education, Socratic Instruction, Inquiry-Based Instruction, Contextual Instruction, Differentiated Instruction, and Flexible Grouping.
  • Reinforce the school’s core values and policies inside and outside the classroom.
  • Fulfill assigned monitoring duties (e.g., recess, lunch duty).
  • Promote and maintain supportive and positive relationships with students and families.
  • Actively participate in the school’s professional development programs.
  • Complete assigned administrative projects and tasks when not substituting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Teaching certificate (required).
  • Master’s Degree (preferred).
  • 1-5 years of classroom experience in Middle and/or Lower School (K-8).
  • Passion for Next Generation learning.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to working with a diverse student population.
  • Dedication to igniting curiosity and making learning fun and challenging.
  • Relentless drive to improve both in and out of school.
  • Ability to model and reinforce the school’s core values, guiding philosophy, rules, and school spirit.
  • Proficiency in Google tools.
  • Grant permission for a criminal background check upon hire.

  • Ability to work full-time, including occasional evenings and weekends, in person at the school.

Pay

Starting annual salary range: $47,752 - $65,628 (based on education, experience step and ladder, with a maximum of 9 years of teaching experience credit).
