Full Time Substitute Teacher

About the role

The Full-Time Substitute Teacher is directly accountable to the Executive Assistant to the Head of Schools and works to implement the Goals and Criteria and the philosophy of Sacred Heart education. They provide substitute teaching coverage for all grades and subjects, preschool through 8th grade.

Responsibilities

• Provides substitute teaching coverage for all grades and subjects, preschool through 8th grade
• Works with School Office Assistant/Substitute Teacher Coordinator for daily substitute teaching assignments
• Fulfills other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Assistant to the Head of Schools and/or the Academic Program Support Associate which are subject to change at any time including to satisfy reasonable accommodation or for other reasons

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3 - 5 years of teaching experience
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Good organization and attention to detail
• Prioritize and multi-task effectively
• Continuous strive for process improvement and quality outcomes

• Highly motivated, ethical, and eager to learn
• Flexible and adaptable to any situation that arises regarding teaching or duties assigned during the day
• Cover short and long-term subbing for a teacher, if needed

Pay

Pay Range $45,000 - $50,000 based on experience and level of education.

Schedule

Full-Time, Ten Month School Day: 7:45am - 4:00pm
