Full-Time Automotive Technician

About the role

A Senior Automotive Technician performs advanced diagnosis and repairs on vehicles, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. They lead complex mechanical and electrical repairs, support quality control, and mentor other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnose drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues using scan tools and testing methods.
• Execute major repairs following manufacturer standards and validate repairs through road tests and safety checks.
• Communicate repair plans clearly to team and customers, and support quality assurance by verifying work and identifying process improvements.
• Coach less experienced technicians, model safe work practices, maintain tools and equipment, and adhere to shop policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems independently.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, meters, and systematic testing, with advanced electrical and drivability knowledge.
• ASE certifications relevant to assigned work, or equivalent competency, with ongoing training commitment.
• Valid driver’s license, successful MVR check, and ability to obtain applicable state inspector license.

Preferred

• ASE Master Technician certification.
• ASE L1 Engine Performance Specialist certification.
• Leadership experience.
