Full-Time Automotive Technician

Location: Novato, CA. Full‑time.

About the role

This role involves diagnosing and performing advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, ensuring work aligns with manufacturer standards and MAP guidelines. The technician will lead complex diagnostics, conduct thorough inspections, and validate repairs through test drives and safety checks. They will mentor other technicians, support quality control, and communicate repair recommendations effectively to store teams and customers. Perform multi‑point inspections with detailed notes and safety prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnosis of drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Execute complex repairs, validate fixes, and support quality assurance processes.
• Explain repair options to teams and customers, building trust and confidence.
• Mentor and coach fellow technicians, sharing diagnostic best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automotive diagnosis and repair across multiple systems.
• Proficiency with scan tools, meters, and systematic testing.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to pass an MVR check, and applicable state inspector license.
