About the role
Are you excited by the prospect of traveling the world to meet best-in-class investment managers, venture capitalists, and hedge fund managers? Are you intellectually curious, analytical, personable, and eager to work for a meaningful cause? If so, this is a position unlike any other in finance.
Yale Investments is widely regarded as one of the top institutional investors in the world, achieving market-leading returns over the past 30 years and enabling the education, research, and innovation that Yale contributes to humanity. Under the leadership of our Chief Investment Officer Matthew Mendelsohn, Yale Investments implements the Yale Model, an investment framework that has been influential in reshaping how university endowments and other large institutional investors manage their funds. Today, the Endowment invests in a diversity of asset classes, including U.S. and foreign equities, hedge funds, leveraged buyouts, venture capital, real estate, and natural resources. It is valued at $44.1 billion as of June 30, 2025.
Analysts work directly with senior staff, meet and interact with some of the world’s leading investment managers, and help identify Yale’s next investment opportunities. Analysts enjoy early responsibility and have a seat at the table from day one. Most Directors at Yale Investments started off as Analysts, rising through the organization’s ranks.
