Full time afternoon caregiver needed in Lehigh Acres

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. The individual is a 10-year-old boy in need of support with ADLs, personal hygiene tasks, and community outings.

About the role

This role is offered on an independent contractor basis, and not as an employee of the company.

Pay

$15.00 hourly

Schedule

• Monday to Friday from 2pm–10pm
• Saturday from 11am–7pm

Responsibilities

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring individual’s safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Facilitating community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, community outings, grocery shopping, and appointments
• Promoting communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Completing daily progress notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
