Afternoon Caregiver Needed in Lehigh Acres - Spanish Required

About the role

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence. This position supports a 59-year-old male who requires supervision and assistance after returning from his day program. The role is offered on an independent contractor basis, not as an employee of the company.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during home activities
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing
• Prepare meals and perform light cleaning related to the individual’s personal spaces
• Ensure the individual’s safety and maintain a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, outings (e.g., 30-minute walks, grocery shopping, appointments), and other activities
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening (via Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse)
• Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Pay

$15.00 hourly

Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Additional support needed: 5:30 AM – 7:30 AM (hours to be confirmed)
