  • Sunstates Security is hiring a Full-Time Account Manager in Kelso, WA. This position will work the first shift and offers a pay rate of $32.26/hr- paid weekly.
  • Anticipated start date: 07/02/2026
  • **Applicants based out of Oregon are welcome to apply!**:
  • Oregon applicants will be considered based on the following:
    • Applicant is located within a two-hour range of the Kelso site
    • Applicant holds a valid Oregon DPSST Security license
    • If hired: Applicants will apply for and pay out of pocket to obtain a Washington state security guard card within 90 days of employment at the Kelso site. (Our hiring managers will assist you with this)

General Requirements

  • Minimum one year security officer, military, or Law Enforcement experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Experience in supervisory or management
  • Successfully complete Sunstates background check which includes a 10 Panel Drug Screen and the clients more extensive background check.
  • Exceptional report writing skills and the ability to observe and report incidents accurately.
  • Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in clear and concise written form.
  • Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
  • Must always be accessible for phone communication.
  • Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
  • Advanced level/knowledge of computers and technology
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to regularly travel to all contracted sites for clients as needed

Management/Leadership

  • Lead, train, motivate, and develop site Security Officers while supporting efficient, ethical, and customer-focused operations.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support employees with HR and branch leadership while ensuring training, licensure, and qualification requirements are met.
  • Manage performance, coaching, corrective actions, employee relations, and officer records in alignment with company policy and regional guidance.

Operations

  • Cook up to set site goals, communicate objectives, and implement action plans for staffing and operations.
  • Manage schedules, time-off requests, weekly hours, personnel matters, inspections, scorecards, and eHub Quality Assurance checks.
  • Submit monthly Account Inspections by the 3rd and remain available for security questions or site events or assign a qualified backup.

Cost Control & Budgetary

  • Keep accounts on budget and aligned with service targets by addressing deficiencies and managing overtime, turnover, and uniforms.

Business Development & Customer Relations

  • Maintain strong customer relations to support retention and satisfaction while promoting Sunstates’ professionalism, ethics, and growth.
