Full-Time, 10-Month Therapeutic Emotional Support Paraprofessional (Grades 9-12)

Responsibilities

• Able to carry out oral and written instructions including those in the student's IEP to allow access to the educational environment.
• Aiding teachers in the presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Performing routine clerical work.
• Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment.

Requirements

• Highly Qualified = High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of an assessment through our special education department,
• Completed at least two years of postsecondary study (48 credit hours or more)
• Associate's Degree or higher, Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year

Qualifications

Pay

• Your work schedule and pay will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June.
• Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor.
• While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family!
• For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-June.

Schedule

• Full-day hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, which is 7.50 working hours and a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

Pay Periods

• There are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family!
• For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-June.
