Full-Time, 10-Month Life Skills Support Paraprofessional (Grade 7-8)
Responsibilities
- Able to carry out oral and written instructions including those in the student's IEP to allow access to the educational environment
- Aiding teachers in the presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises
- Performing routine clerical work
- Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment
Requirements
- Highly Qualified = High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of an assessment through our special education department
- Completed at least two years of postsecondary study (48 credit hours or more)
- Associate's Degree or higher
- Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year
- Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children
- Acceptable record of attendance
Qualifications
Immediate/continued inclusion in Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS)
