Full-Time, 10-Month Behavior Intervention Specialist Paraprofessional
About the role
The Dallastown Area School District seeks a Full-Time, 10-Month Behavior Intervention Specialist Paraprofessional for York Township Elementary School who will play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting a special education teacher in the delivery of supports and services for students with IEPs.
Responsibilities
- Able to carry out oral and written instructions including those in the student's IEP to allow access to the educational environment.
- Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises
- Performing routine clerical work
- Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment
Schedule
For 10-Month Positions full-day hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, which is 7.50 working hours and a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. Your work schedule and pay will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June. Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor. While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family! For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-June.
