  • Evaluate and prototype emerging AI tools and frameworks; leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate design, coding, testing, and code review.
  • Ensure data privacy, security, governance, and compliance when building and deploying AI-enabled functionality.
  • Independently define and prioritize goals and tasks in a fast-paced agile product environment with small, focused teams.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and stakeholders to align on design plans, troubleshoot production issues, and drive durable solutions.
  • Mentor engineers on software engineering best practices, cloud-native architecture, and AI integration patterns.
  • Propose solutions to complex problems, build consensus among the team, and influence technical direction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience using Python and building cloud-native applications in Azure (AWS experience also considered).
  • Experience developing modern web applications with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and application architecture.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring other engineers.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software development best practices.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications, including Azure OpenAI, LLMs, RAG, or vector databases.
