This position is onsite in New York.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on enterprise-level application development with Core Java and Spring Boot
• Develop high-performance, responsive, and intuitive GUIs using Angular
• Work with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, UDB/DB2), including relational data modeling, complex queries, and performance tuning
• Design and implement microservices, Kafka, and REST API development
• Modernize/rewrite legacy applications to modernized distributed platforms
• Apply AI-assisted spec-driven development tools for code generation, testing, and documentation
• Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

• 7+ years of strong hands-on enterprise-level application development experience with Core Java and Spring Boot
• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Angular
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, UDB/DB2), relational data modeling, complex queries, and performance tuning
• Strong hands-on experience with microservices, Kafka, and REST API development
• Good understanding of Java full-stack application architecture, RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integration patterns
• Experience modernizing/rewriting legacy applications to modern distributed platforms

Qualifications

• Experience in AI-assisted spec-driven development tools (code generation, testing, documentation) is a plus
• Experience in alternatives/private markets, banking, financial, or wealth management domains is preferred
• Python experience is good to have
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies Docker and Kubernetes

Pay

The base compensation range for this role in New York is $61,087 to $104,364. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
