We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support the daily financial operations of multiple entities in California. This permanent, on-site role is ideal for someone who is confident managing accounting activity from transaction processing through month-end tasks with accuracy and consistency. The position works closely with organizational leadership and requires strong judgment and a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions for three separate companies, ensuring each set of books remains accurate and up to date.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare checks and coordinate disbursements while maintaining proper documentation and internal financial controls.
- Complete bank, credit card, and account reconciliations on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and keep records balanced.
- Support payroll processing and related bookkeeping entries in alignment with company procedures and reporting needs.
- Assist with tax filing activities and maintain organized financial records to support compliance requirements.
- Maintain the general ledger and contribute to month-end closing tasks, including reviewing balances and preparing supporting schedules.
- Partner closely with leadership to review financial work, resolve issues, and provide clear accounting updates.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in full-charge bookkeeping with responsibility for day-to-day accounting activities.
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, including regular use for core bookkeeping functions.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply them accurately across multiple entities.
- Experience supporting month-end close, payroll-related entries, and routine financial reporting.
- Comfortable using computerized accounting systems and general business software in an office-based environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
