Responsibilities
- Oversee receiving, unloading, staging, verifying, and put-away activities
- Ensure accurate inspection and documentation of inbound shipments
- Cook up receiving priorities with customer SLAs and shipment schedules
- Manage discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages), perform root-cause analysis, and follow up on resolution
- Create and manage daily inbound schedules based on shipment volume
- Supervise and lead warehouse associates responsible for outbound order fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping)
- Maintain daily workflow and assign tasks to ensure timely and accurate processing of e-commerce orders
- Adjust labor and workflows in real time based on order volume, carrier cutoffs, and SLA requirements
- Handle escalations related to missed cutoffs, order discrepancies, or carrier delays, supporting management as needed
- Use WMS and RF scanning tools for inbound and outbound transactions and real-time visibility
- Track and monitor KPIs including receiving cycle time, put-away accuracy, dock turnaround, order accuracy, units per hour (UPH), on-time shipment, and labor productivity
- Provide daily performance reporting to the Operations Management Team
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase speed and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Work closely with Inventory Control, Customer Service, Transportation, and other cross-functional teams
- Lead team huddles, performance reviews, and safety briefings
- Support cross-training and peak season surge planning
- Perform other general warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2-5 years of warehouse or fulfillment center experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, handheld Android devices.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Proficient with technology and software, such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack.
- Bilingual (English, Spanish), strongly preferred.
