Fuels Control Center Operator (Dispatcher)

Overview

Responsible for the Fuels Control Center.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Fuels Control Center to include dispatching, maintaining communication with MOCC and expediter.
• Know all checklist and emergency procedures.
• Know how to collect data for inventory purposes.
• Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Supervisory Responsibilities

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

• One year of work experience in a USAF Fuels specialty or civilian equivalency.
• Ability to complete fuels military‑equivalent certified qualifications within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airfield Competency Card.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Demonstrates a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
• Self‑motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Capable of multitasking efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Fuels Manager Defense (FMD) certificate preferred.

Security Clearance

National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods; use hands/fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; operate office equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close and distant vision. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Travel

Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.

Work Location

The employee will primarily be located at Peterson AFB, CO.

Work Environment

Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, near moving mechanical parts, and includes occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions and vibration.
