About the role

The Fuel Inventory Coordinator maintains accurate inventory records and ensures fuel equipment, parts, and liquid inventory are properly received, tracked, stored, and distributed. This role supports warehouse operations by coordinating inventory levels, assisting with purchasing, and ensuring materials are available for service, installation, and construction projects.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional overtime as needed.

Pay

$27.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for fuel equipment, tank products, parts, and liquid inventory.
  • Receive, inspect, label, and accurately enter inventory into the inventory management system.
  • Organize warehouse inventory to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and inventory accuracy.
  • Create and maintain part numbers, product descriptions, and inventory records for new and used equipment.
  • Generate purchase orders and ensure compliance with approved vendor purchasing procedures.
  • Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels to support automated replenishment and vendor lead times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate transfers between warehouses, service trucks, and other company locations.
  • Pull, stage, and transfer equipment and materials for installations, tank builds, service work, and warehouse replenishment.
  • Label and assign inventory to specific Equipment Agreements (EAs), service tickets, or projects.
  • Review approved Equipment Agreements to verify required inventory is available or on order before project execution.
  • Maintain accurate product costing and update pricing for miscellaneous inventory items.
  • Track shipments, deliveries, returns, and product movement throughout the inventory lifecycle.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement improvements to inventory control processes, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with establishing inventory procedures and warehouse organization for new or remote locations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Previous inventory, warehouse, or materials management experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of fuel equipment, pumps, tanks, fittings, and petroleum-related products.
  • Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory audits.
