About the role

We're looking for experienced hospitality professionals who enjoy creating exceptional dining experiences, leading by example, and building meaningful relationships with residents and guests. At Dallas Retirement Village, our Relief Hosts play a key role in ensuring residents and visitors receive outstanding service in our dining venues. This position supports dining room operations by coordinating guest seating, assisting service staff, addressing resident concerns, and helping maintain a welcoming and organized dining environment. Responsibilities

• Greet and seat residents and guests
• Manage reservations
• Support meal service operations
• Assist with staff coordination
• Resolve dining concerns
• Maintain dining room standards
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
• Support special events
• Assist with training and mentoring dining staff

You'll work closely with the Dining Room Manager and service team to create a positive dining experience while maintaining high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of hospitality, restaurant, food service, or dining room leadership experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead by example and support team success
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Food Handler's Card required
• OLCC Service Permit required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle basic cash transactions
• Dependable, professional, and hospitality-focused
