Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views. JOB PURPOSE: The Host is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first and last impression for guests at Fair Ketch, a spirited social hub that blends the excitement of sports with the atmosphere of a sleek coastal lounge. This role ensures guests are greeted, seated, and assisted in a timely and courteous manner while supporting the overall flow of Food & Beverage operations and delivering exceptional service in accordance with Omni standards. Essential Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets, as assigned based on business needsGreets guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, maintaining a polished and professional demeanorManages reservations and guest inquiries via phone and reservation systems using sound judgment and accurate timingMonitors dining room activity to ensure appropriate seating flow, guest comfort, and service coordinationSeats guests by identifying clean, available tables and providing menus in accordance with service standardsAssists managers with opening, closing, and operational readiness of dining areasAnticipates guest needs and responds appropriately to enhance the guest experienceManages guest flow during peak periods and maintains order at the restaurant entranceAssists service staff as needed to support efficient operationsMaintains familiarity with menus, daily specials, VIP guests, function sheets, and hotel activitiesThanks guests upon departure and invites them to return, ensuring a positive closing interactionDuties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.Must be available to work varied schedules, shifts, and locations, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and different outlets as assigned Qualifications Minimum one (1) year experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferredFine dining or steakhouse experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environmentProfessional appearance, demeanor, and performance standards requiredAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays and overtime Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistanceAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, including entire shiftsRequires repetitive motionWork may be performed in indoor and outdoor environments Tools & Equipment POS and reservation systems/open table Computer, phone, printer Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned Omni Hotels & Resorts Is An Equal Opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran Employer.
