Responsibilities

  • Aid residents with their daily medications, treatments, and resident care as assigned.
  • Document, deliver, and administer or assist with treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Notify Supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered correctly and document the reasons.
  • Track all orders for medication changes and refills, notify the pharmacy, and report any missing medications.
  • Support caregivers in their duties and document incident reports, communicating any resident changes to supervisors promptly.
  • Respond to emergencies and resident alerts or requests as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication, utilizing mentoring, coaching, and recognition programs aligned with MBK principles and core values.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.
  • Certification or education as required by state regulations.
  • Valid CPR & First Aid certification.
  • 1+ years of prior related work experience in a similar healthcare role, within a similar industry/work environment.
  • Experience handling medications preferred; on-the-job training is available for candidates with the appropriate focus and desire.

Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to effectively manage and respond to resident behaviors, including a wide variety of verbal and physical expressions, while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Age 18 or over.
  • Completed required Background, health screening, and provided negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and effectively follow both spoken and written directions.
  • Comfortable with technology for documentation of medication passes, incidents, and notes.
  • Maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, including medication certification and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to interact effectively, deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Able to make sound, independent decisions when circumstances are warranted, remain calm, and effectively manage stressful or emergency situations.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently without day-to-day oversight and supervision.
  • Display a positive and professional image in accordance with the MBK values.

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

Sunday-Thursday (02:00PM-10:00PM).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive motion.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary.
  • Ability to move throughout the workday, in the community, and between neighborhoods.
  • Ability to assist in the physical movement of residents during routine transfers and in emergency situations.
