FSQA Supervisor

Vernon, CA (Plant Based) – on-site leadership role with flexibility to support off-shift or weekend operations as needed.

About the Role

Archer Meat Snacks, the #1 jerky brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel, is seeking a seasoned FSQA Supervisor to drive food safety and quality excellence in a high-growth, purpose-driven manufacturing environment. This pivotal role involves leading the Quality Assurance team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and shaping a strong food safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of FSQA Leads and Technicians
• Ensure execution of HACCP, HARPC/FSMA, SQF, and other GFSI programs
• Oversee plant inspections, testing, verification, pre-shipment reviews, and audits
• Partner cross-functionally on R&D initiatives, innovation rollouts, and label compliance
• Own the resolution process for customer complaints and non-conformances
• Drive FSQA training programs and promote best practices plant-wide
• Measure and report on key FSQA KPIs to inform continuous improvement

Requirements

• 4+ years in an FSQA Supervisor or Lead role within USDA/FDA-regulated facilities
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing QA teams
• Expert-level knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GFSI (SQF/BRC), and regulatory standards
• Current certifications in HACCP and/or PCQI required
• Deep familiarity with Organic, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, and related certification programs
• Skilled in root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, 5S, PDCA)
• Strong communicator with SOP development and multi-project leadership experience
• B.S. in Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline preferred
