FSQ Tech I

Job Summary

Aids FSQ Management in maintaining product quality and safety. Assists in completing tasks and documenting FSQ responsibilities. Substitutes for FSQ Technician II during absence.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Receives direction from shift FSQ Senior Technician & Supervisor
• Notifies Tech Level 2 or higher of non-conformances and ensures proper documentation
• Performs required finished product testing and data entry
• Conducts food safety inspections and quality audits
• Carries out GMP and SSOP inspections
• Completes weekly and monthly tasks
• Performs second day testing and raw material inspections
• Organizes finished product retains and informs team of raw material issues
• May be responsible for raw material testing and analysis, lab equipment calibration, NCR creation, and Prep-Inspection activities
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments
• Inspects finished product for food safety hazards

Required Skills/Abilities

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Apply algebra and geometry to practical situations
• Recognize and define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions
• Use computer skills, including database, spreadsheet, Word, and PowerPoint software
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Interact professionally with colleagues and customers
• Prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
• Work in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred.
