Responsibilities
- Monitors CCP (critical control point) and temperature record, follows up or escalates as necessary
- Completes internal food safety audits and prepares samples for microbiological testing
- Maintains quality assurance filing system
- Investigates customer complaints and maintains and makes recommendation for improvement for the facility's traceability system
- Assists in internal and external audits
- Assists in monitoring and makes recommendations for improvement for the facilities cleaning schedule
- Maintains records for facility hygiene
- Maintains records for employee training and retains and track renewals for food safety certifications
- Delivers food safety training as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1 - 3 years of experience, preferably in a hospitality, food production environment, catering establishment within floor monitoring, food safety and quality parameters
- Good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Knowledge in HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems
- Food Safety Certification, state specific if applicable
- HACCP Certified preferred
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs
