Responsibilities
- Performs daily food safety tasks such as pre-operational, operational, and post-operational checks, temperature monitoring, cooler/freezer inspections, thermometer calibration, sanitizer checks, and oversight of cleaning activities.
- Answers inquiries regarding food safety procedures; reinforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) through routine floor inspections and self-audits.
- Reports non-compliance issues to FS/QA supervisor, FS/QA Manager, and Department Manager, ensuring prompt corrective actions.
- Counsels customers during audits, health department inspections, training sessions, and consultations, ensuring staff compliance with relevant standards.
- Conducts regular traceability audits, laboratory collections, and swabs for testing.
- Assists with pest control management and conducts regular facility audits for cleanliness, including bathroom inspections and swab testing.
- Ensures proper chemical stock levels in designated departments (e.g., porters, dish room).
- Performs receiving duties, checking the quality of the product, product temperature, quantities, truck condition and temperature.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food processing, hospitality, or a high-paced catering establishment with floor monitoring.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Possesses proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Displays exceptional organizational and detail-oriented capabilities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance principles.
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
