Frost Bank Center Building Security Guard - Overnight Shift (PT)

About the role

At Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E), we work in service of something bigger than ourselves. We own and operate the San Antonio Spurs (NBA), Austin Spurs (NBA G-League), and the San Antonio FC (USL), and manage day-to-day operations of the Frost Bank Center, Toyota Field and STAR Complex. Responsibilities

• Regulates and controls access and entry checkpoints to restricted and secure areas.
• Maintains established security policies and procedures to protect Spurs Sports & Entertainment franchises, the Frost Bank Center, and its assets, employees, and guests.
• Patrols the facilities paying special attention to activities or situations that may breach security or pose a safety hazard.
• Responds to alarms and emergency situations inside and outside the Frost Bank Center and grounds.
• Serves and interacts with guests attending Frost Bank Center games and events.
• Provides information and directions to inquiries from the public or Frost Bank Center employees.
• Documents critical information for incident/accident reports.
• Conducts security screening and bag searches to ensure authorized people enter the arena and no prohibited items are being brought in.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves safety concerns.
• Generates safety awareness and training.
• Enforces guidelines to reduce unsafe practices.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the security field.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Security License and Certification while in position.
• Good verbal and written communication and team building skills.
• Exceptional, sound decision making skills.
• Able to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR Certification/Basic First Aid preferred.
• Knowledge of law enforcement or experience in the entertainment industry, security, military or law enforcement preferred.
• Able to lift and carry 25 plus pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions for the duration of assigned shift.

Qualifications

Benefits

• Continuity of pay increase contingent on obtaining a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License AND fulfilling 90 days of employment.
• Termination of employment if Level II Non-Commissioned Security License is not obtained within the first 90 days.

Pay

The pay increase is contingent on obtaining a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License AND fulfilling 90 days of employment. Failure to obtain a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License within the first 90 days may result in termination of employment.

Schedule

Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
