About the role
At Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E), we work in service of something bigger than ourselves. We own and operate the San Antonio Spurs (NBA), Austin Spurs (NBA G-League), and the San Antonio FC (USL), and manage day-to-day operations of the Frost Bank Center, Toyota Field and STAR Complex. Responsibilities
- Regulates and controls access and entry checkpoints to restricted and secure areas.
- Maintains established security policies and procedures to protect Spurs Sports & Entertainment franchises, the Frost Bank Center, and its assets, employees, and guests.
- Patrols the facilities paying special attention to activities or situations that may breach security or pose a safety hazard.
- Responds to alarms and emergency situations inside and outside the Frost Bank Center and grounds.
- Serves and interacts with guests attending Frost Bank Center games and events.
- Provides information and directions to inquiries from the public or Frost Bank Center employees.
- Documents critical information for incident/accident reports.
- Conducts security screening and bag searches to ensure authorized people enter the arena and no prohibited items are being brought in.
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves safety concerns.
- Generates safety awareness and training.
- Enforces guidelines to reduce unsafe practices.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the security field.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Security License and Certification while in position.
- Good verbal and written communication and team building skills.
- Exceptional, sound decision making skills.
- Able to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR Certification/Basic First Aid preferred.
- Knowledge of law enforcement or experience in the entertainment industry, security, military or law enforcement preferred.
- Able to lift and carry 25 plus pounds as needed.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions for the duration of assigned shift.

Benefits
- Continuity of pay increase contingent on obtaining a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License AND fulfilling 90 days of employment.
- Termination of employment if Level II Non-Commissioned Security License is not obtained within the first 90 days.
Pay
The pay increase is contingent on obtaining a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License AND fulfilling 90 days of employment. Failure to obtain a Level II Non-Commissioned Security License within the first 90 days may result in termination of employment.
Schedule
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
