Security Officer - Overnight Shift

About the role

Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help support smooth operations through screening procedures, access point monitoring, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen people, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed protocols, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting security-related investigations as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, while monitoring access points and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.

Requirements

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
