About The Role

Reddit is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join the Brand Ad Formats team, a group dedicated to developing innovative advertising solutions that maximize brand reach and impact. The ideal candidate will possess a product-focused mindset and have a strong background in web development. This role involves creating engaging ad experiences, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the full lifecycle of product development—from design and development to testing, experimentation, and deployment. The successful candidate will play a key role in building high-performance, data-intensive, and fault-tolerant applications that support Reddit’s advertising initiatives, including upcoming video ad formats and AI-driven interactive ads. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of advertising on one of the internet’s most influential platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Web Engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant applications
• Experience with automated testing best practices, code quality, and design patterns
• Strong skills in performing insightful code reviews and receiving constructive feedback
• Experience leveraging Generative AI tools to enhance software engineering productivity
• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a fully remote environment
• Ability to discuss complex technical topics with both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative ad experiences that improve performance and functionality within Reddit’s web application
• Create design patterns and reusable components for ad formats that enhance user engagement and brand visibility
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify solutions for complex challenges
• Participate in the full development cycle, including designing, coding, quality assurance, experimentation, analysis, and deployment
• Utilize modern frontend technologies such as Typescript, HTML, CSS, and Go to build scalable ad solutions
• Engage in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and continuously improve code quality
• Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices to optimize ad formats and user experience
