About the role

As a Front Office Representative, you will perform front office duties including patient care activities, check-in and check-out, scheduling, verifying medical insurance, and confirming appointments. This position reports to a Front Office Supervisor and may require working at various SB&H locations as needed.

Schedule

Monday through Friday; schedule can vary depending on business needs. Reporting to our Kingman outpatient location.

Pay

$15.51 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, update, and maintain all client databases and scheduling of consumer appointments.
  • Coordinate transportation as clinically necessary or appropriate.
  • Process medication issues and prior authorizations.
  • Process and monitor lab results.
  • Schedule medication, counseling, and intake appointments.
  • Complete intake referrals and screening.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls by the third ring.
  • Confirm and update consumer contact information.
  • Verify consumer eligibility and enrollment prior to appointment (AHCCCS, RBHA/agency, Limited Income Subsidy, Medicare Part D).
  • Collect client fees and copays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program highly preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or behavioral health background preferred.
  • Prior clerical experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting (consideration given for coursework in lieu of part of the experience requirements).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
