About the role

The Waldorf Astoria New York, after a transformative restoration, is seeking a Front Office Night Manager to help unveil a new era of luxury that embodies the spirit of New York City. This role is pivotal in delivering True Waldorf Service, creating unforgettable experiences for discerning travelers in a landmark property featuring 375 rooms, 40,000 square feet of event space, a holistic spa, wellness programming, and a celebrity chef partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Front Office operations, including guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory and availability, guest service standards, cost controls, profitability, marketing initiatives, and systems management.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, scheduling, evaluations, recognition, and rewards.
  • Assess service and satisfaction trends, address issues, and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and meet and greet guests, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely, friendly manner.
  • Initiate up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize revenue.
  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable about hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies, and local area events.
  • Complete audit procedures and the Night Audit process, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, reporting, and system balancing.
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members.
  • Review arrivals, departures, and VIPs for the following day to ensure operational readiness.
