Starting salary: $20.00/hour

• Tips: All tips are pooled among all hourly employees and paid out biweekly, typically adding more than $2/hr to base pay.
• Quarterly Profit-Share: Full-time employees share in profits based on restaurant and company performance, potentially equaling up to 10% of quarterly pay.

About the Role

As the Front of House Leader, you ensure customers have the best experience at Roots by serving delicious food quickly, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked restaurant. Your success depends on the success of your Front of House crew, so you’ll train, support, and develop them to achieve their goals and run an outstanding restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and embody Roots’ culture to create a special experience daily.
• Collaborate with the Leadership Team and crew to foster an awesome workplace.
• Improve your crew’s leadership skills by understanding, motivating, and inspiring them.
• Provide hands-on training and ongoing support for crew members.
• Lead and coach the crew to run excellent shifts, focusing on customer experience and food quality.
• Maintain a relentless focus on customer experience and attention to detail.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety practices at all times.
• Master all front-of-house positions (line, grill, catering/app).
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude during all shifts.

Requirements

• Prior restaurant management experience preferred.
• Empathy for crew members and customers.
• Friendliness and enthusiasm daily.
• Lead by example with humility and resilience.
• Strong personal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends.
