About The Role
The Front End Software Developer at LMI will play a critical role in designing and implementing sophisticated user interfaces and visualization tools for the RAPTR platform, which supports modeling, simulation, prototyping, wargaming, and analysis activities. This position requires a highly skilled developer who can transform complex analytical outputs into intuitive, high-performance visualizations that enable analysts, data scientists, and decision-makers to explore and interpret data effectively. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop scalable, modular front-end architectures that can evolve into standalone analytical applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5-10 years of professional experience in front-end software development
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building data-driven user interfaces and dashboards
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, or similar
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, evolving environments with loosely defined requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one
- Willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph if not already held
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user interfaces and dashboards that facilitate exploration of modeling, simulation, and trade study results
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, interactive visualizations including charts, maps, timelines, and comparative views
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and backend developers to ensure accurate and effective data presentation
- Build and maintain scalable, reusable front-end components and frameworks
- Implement interactive features allowing users to filter, compare, and analyze various scenarios and architectures
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness when handling large or complex datasets
- Contribute to the design of user workflows that align with how analysts and decision-makers operate
- Support integration of front-end components with backend APIs and services
- Apply best practices in UI/UX design, accessibility standards, and maintainability
- Aid in the development of modular UI architecture supporting potential standalone analytical applications
