About the role

Enlighten is looking for a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team, collaborating in-person 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office while enjoying flexibility to work from home as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
  • JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review.
  • Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
  • Help define and interact with REST-based APIs.
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported issues in applications and provide support.
  • Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required; a U.S. Government security clearance will be processed (not required on the first day).
  • At least 2 years of experience with front-end software development/engineering and a Bachelor’s in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge or experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Angular, Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
  • Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+) within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, averaging 1-2 days per week in the Columbia, MD office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with BDP is a plus.
  • DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required as directed by the customer.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately.
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $90,000.00 - $128,000.00. The range is a good faith estimate based on role location, expectations, and responsibilities. Offers consider factors such as role function, internal equity, and a candidate’s education, training, work experience, certifications, and key skills. Occasionally, positions may include additional non-recurrent compensation, addressed during the interview process.
