About the role
Enlighten is looking for a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a focus on mentoring, support, and growth. This role involves assisting with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
- JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review.
- Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
- Help define and interact with REST-based APIs.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues in applications and provide support.
- Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance processing).
- At least 2 years of experience with front-end software development/engineering and a Bachelor’s in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge or experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Angular, Backbone) or demonstrated competency.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
- Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
- Self-motivation; ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues/tickets.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to review information and compile data as needed.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+) within 60 days of hire.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with BDP.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications.

Pay
Anticipated salary range: $90,000.00 – $128,000.00. The range is based on role location, expectations, and responsibilities. Factors such as function, internal equity, education, training, work experience, certifications, and key skills may influence the final offer. Occasionally, positions may include additional non-recurrent compensation, discussed during the interview process.
