About the role

This position involves supervising front desk operations, assisting guests during check-in/check-out, processing reservations, and managing staff to achieve guest satisfaction and financial results.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise front desk staff to ensure guest satisfaction and positive employee relations.
  • Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special requests.
  • Assist guests by providing information about the hotel and its amenities.
  • Achieve business revenue goals by developing and implementing service programs.
  • Interview, hire, coach, and develop front office associates.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching to meet standards.
  • Manage staff through discipline, corrective action, and termination decisions.
  • Motivate staff by setting goals, providing feedback, and recognizing achievements.
  • Analyze quality issues, identify training needs, and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with CSM training policies and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain standards and adhere to regulations.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment and follow procedures for incidents.
  • Manage labor effectively through proper scheduling, monitoring, and adjustments.
  • Utilize expertise to suggest changes to front desk operations and maximize revenue and occupancy.
  • Attend department/hotel meetings to ensure proper communication and planning.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Basic computer knowledge and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college or college degree preferred.
