Front Desk Supervisor - Cedar Creek Lodge

About the role
As Front Desk Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the front of house staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing check-ins and check-outs, and assisting guests to create a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front desk and breakfast staff to ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- Respond to guests' inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor daily operations of the front desk, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests.
- Manage reservations and room availability.
- Ensure accuracy of billing and payment processes.
- Monitor and review guest feedback and resolve customer complaints.
- Train and coach front desk staff, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Ensure staff compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards.
- Follow and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures; assist with transfer of safe funds.
- Post charges to guest accounts for services and purchases.
- Provide information about available services, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
- Assist in following proper procedures for all lost and found items.
- Coordinate emergency fire evacuation and safety programs with fellow supervisors and Location Manager.
- Understand and follow all PCI Compliance guidelines.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other departments to ensure coordination of hotel activities.
- Complete all other tasks and job duties as assigned by Location Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Previous experience with hotel property management systems.
- Human relation skills; must be a team-oriented people-person who thrives on public contact.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of hotel management systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to interact with diverse peoples and help resolve issues.
- Knowledge of common office machines (computers, calculators, copy/fax machine).
- Neat and pleasant grooming habits.
- Knowledgeable of Glacier National Park’s history and points of interest.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Standing for up to eight hours per shift.
- Bending, stretching, and reaching throughout a shift up to 8 hours.
- Working with required chemicals.
Pay
$20.35/hour
Schedule
- Full-time, year-round position starting immediately.
- Primarily 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts, five days per week.
- May need to cover other shifts, including graveyard, potentially as overtime.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
