About the role
The Front Desk Specialist serves as the front-of-the-house liaison to facilitate an exceptional guest experience. This individual will handle complex technical tasks, manage keys, verify payments, and communicate with guests and housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the overall guest experience from check-in through check-out
- Handle room changes, inventory moves, and folio adjustments
- Create and issue keys while ensuring safety and security
- Calculate visit costs, verify credit, and establish payment methods
- Ensure interactions exceed owner and guest expectations
- Provide assistance to Marketing Face-to-Face team during check-in
- Support business center and resort Wi-Fi access
- Communicate with housekeeping to expedite unit cleaning
- Perform end-of-day reporting and maintain house bank
- Assist with other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Self-directed with attention to detail and conflict/problem resolution skills
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, moderately to highly stressful environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior working knowledge of Timeshare Ware Reservation System
- Fluent in English
- Prior experience in cash handling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other required applications
- Strong work ethic, high energy level, and positive attitude
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Prior front desk experience in a high-volume hotel (300+ rooms)
- Bilingual a plus
