Front Desk Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer/Guard position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, patrolling various locations, preserving order, enforcing regulations, and providing customer service and information to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site to ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Patrol a variety of locations, which may involve walking up inclines, uneven terrain, and climbing stairs as needed.
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
• Perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods; may involve lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to complete patrols.
• Strong technology skills (cell phone and computer use).
• Prior security or customer service experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for security officers/guards.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Background in retail, food service, or hospitality is a strong fit; training available for newcomers.
• Ability to meet physical demands: frequent sitting, standing, walking; climbing stairs; walking on inclines and uneven terrain; frequent lifting/moving up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.
